Koh Samui - Christmas

We arrived to Koh Samui to be greeted by rain and grey skies, but it was a lot warmer!  Luckily the rain eased and we met Dave for dinner and drinks and hit the beach parties as it was now christmas eve and we wanted to start the celebrations!!  We met up in the Irish bar and then moved onto the beach to the Ark bar where the best beach parties seemed to be and we were not disappointed!  We met loads of people and just partied the night away, rolling home sometime in the late hours of the morning!

Christmas day!!!  Slept most of it!  Still grey and rainy so not much else to do!  We met Dave at the Irish bar for Christmas dinner and had the traditional turkey and all the trimmings, but did miss my brandy butter and mince pies!!  We then hit the beach again for some more buckets and partied the night away, again!!  Such a fun place!!  Good times!!  It seems like the whole of Australia is here in Thailand for xmas, mainly from melbourne and all aged between 18-25!!!

Boxing day!!  Everyone was struggling by now, but as it was Dave's last night I made the effort and went out once again!!  For a change we hit the beach, but made it an early night and went home at 12.30am!  I did not want any more vodka red bull buckets as really wanted to get some sleep tonight  and the red bull here is like 10 times stronger than the stuff in the UK.
The next day the sun was out and we hit the beach!  The girls hired mopeds which I did not want to do after my last accident, and seeing everyone walking around bandaged up, as it is too dangerous unless you know the roads and are experienced, which I am not, so Dave and I enjoyed the sun and cocktails on the beach before he had to leave for his flight home! :(

The sun was still shining and we decided to taxi down to Lamai beach for the day and get some serious tanning time in!  We had a relaxing day just chillin' on the beach and listening to reggae, felt like i was back in jamaica :)  Reggae is quite popular out here!  That evening we hit the town again feeling refreshed and ready for some more partying!  We tried a club called Green Mango and I think I rolled in about 6am!  This will be our last night out in Koh Samui so had to make the most of it!!  And once again who should I bump into but Steve and Craig, the 2 guys who helped me out in Chiang Mai!!!

New years eve, eve and time to leave for Koh Phangnan.  We had a great hotel here and was gutted to leave the luxury behind.  All in all a great christmas!!!
